The media could not be loaded.This meat grinder is not for heavy duty meat grinding. This machine is for an occasional home user. I am reviewing the meat grinder from a home user perspective. I mainly use a meat grinder for beef product. I find that the ground beef in the grocery stores is mushy and you never know what cuts of meat have been included. There have also been many meat recalls for the pre-packaged ground beef. I decided a while ago that I would start grinding my own meat especially for ground beef. The other issue with store ground beef is that it is sometimes hard to find a coarse grind for chili.In the attached video I ground a chuck eye roast into a coarse grind for chili. The roast was on sale and per pound was cheaper than the ground beef in the same store’s meat case. I also noticed that when I cook meat that I grind myself I do not end up with a pan full of liquid that always comes out of pre-ground meat. If you make burgers or meatloaf the final cooked meat is much more tender and flavorful. I can add veal, pork, short ribs, or any other blend of meats to get exactly what I want. I can also control the amount of fat added. Some of these lean ground beef blends are dry and chewy. Fat = Flavor!The grinder works fine and the attachments provide enough options for anyone getting started grinding meat. Everything disassembles for easy cleaning and the grinder is easy to set up. My biggest complaint and why I gave it 4 stars is the base is so light weight that when pressing the meat through it tips forward. Again this grinder is not for heavy processing or commercial operations but should be fine for home cooks. [...]
