10′ x 14′ Sun Shade Sail Straight Edge Sun Shade Canopy Cover Outdoor with Grommets D-Ring UV Block for Pergola Backyard Patio (Red)
I purchased this shade in gray size 10 ‘x 25’ to go over my patio. It looks custom and provides a great combination of shade with just enough light coming thru so it doesn’t darken the ambiance too much. Amazing what a difference it makes by cutting the blistering heat of the sun. So far I am very pleased with both the look and performance. I hope it lasts three years as advertised. Have only had it up a few weeks and it hasn’t yet been subjected to substantial winds or rain. Will try to update over time. Seems to be pretty well constructed. I have one section at the end that is secured with bungee cords which are stretching the material. I hope this does not shorten the life of the sun shade.Update 1: This shade has been up for about 14 months and is holding together well. It doesn’t look quite as good as new but it still looks pretty darn good. Still happy!Update 2: May 26, 2020 and the shade is still looking good. Looks like it will easily surpass the 3-year warranty period in good shape. The D rings on the 4 corners are rusted but holding strong. I see prices for these things have gone up significantly since my purchase almost 3 years ago, but I would still recommend this shade highly because of the quality and durability it has shown over time. Durability was the biggest question I had when making this purchase and the only way to find out the answer to that question is to dive in and try it. I hope they are still making them with the same quality when I buy another one for the other side of my house.Update 3: November 8, 2021 and the shade is still looking good with no rips or tears after 4 plus years. It doesn’t look as clean and new as it once did, no surprise there, but still looks good. I plan on keeping it as long as it holds up. Pretty impressed so far and happy with the purchase. I added another photo which is on the far right to show how the shade looks after 4 years and 3 months in Southern California.Update 4: January 26, 2023 This shade is still holding up after 5 1/2 plus years. No rips or tears. My initial concerns about durability have been extinguished. It’s looking a bit dirty now and I might buy a new one in the next year or two just to get a fresher clean look, but so far it is still perfectly functional. Why are you still reading this? Just buy it.
