Here’s my out of the box experience with it.1. ditch the instructions and safety manual they’re rubbish2. Take out the screws on the bottom of the blades and take the combs out. it’ll loosen the side walls a bit and makes it a little unstable (you want that after you finish cutting meat)3. wash with soapy water and run it through your dish washer (mine’s goes through the restaurant’s dish washer)4. reassemble and cut some cheap veggies with it to get rid of the left over machine grease (i used bell pepper cause we had a lot lying around)5. repeat until machine grease smell is goneAfter you’ve cut meat you repeat the same process and i use the combs to clear the blades and finish off with the sink’s pressure spray and dish washer. I usually leave it over night under the machine to dry and the next time i use it i assemble and run it for a sec to clear off dried meat particles that are left over from previous use.The machine is incredibly fast, the groves in one of the blade pulls the meat in so watch your finger. For chicken breast i usually cut the breast into individual breast and then slice in half and put that through the machine (great for stir fry). We go through 4 cases of chicken in less than 40 mins from prep to machine. Beef and pork go through them even quicker so no complaints. We’ve tried vegetables but they sort of make a mess and bruise them.Be extremely careful with the blades they’re sharp. everyone whose clean the blade has cut their fingers on it without realizing so be attentive when you’re handling it.side note: we didn’t install the safe guard on. we found it to be cumbersome and it gets in the way of just throwing pieces of meat through the hole. Also be mindful of which side you place the meat into the slicer it does make a difference in the cut.If you’re machine is loud or making a lot of weird noises it’s because you didn’t put it back together properly. Check the combs and make sure they’re not caught on anything because you’ll risk bending them. The only down side i found was the screw that held the combs together is welded in but they’re not completely solid. Ours is slightly bent over the use of a week but we found a way to just make it work so no complaint. Had it for a bit now and extremely satisfied with the product.
