You don’t have to be handicapped to have a need to buy this toilet seat. All toilets in my home were very low and were a popular height in the 1960’s through the 1980’s. They were around 16” high. Since then, many people have switched to chair heighth which is 17.5” to 19”. I thought about replacing the three toilets to chair height but with labor cost, the estimate was over a $1,000. I found the Kohler 3” toilet seats and even though they were recommended for handicapped people, I decided to try one for my bathroom. I found it to be the perfect answer and it was well under $100 with tax. The seat comes in round or elongated. I have since ordered two more to update all bathrooms. I am a senior citizen and I had no problem following the Kohler video on how to install. This seat came in white or biscuit color. I had two almond toilets and the biscuit color is so close to almond that most would never notice it is only a shade lighter. White was perfect for my white bath fixture. I am very pleased with my update for less than $200 dollars. The new installed toilet height is now 17.5” and that is a perfect height for me.
