The Holset HE351VE variable geometry turbocharger is the factory unit on the Cummins ISB 6.7L diesel engine in the Ram 2500 and 3500 from 2007.5 through approximately 2012. The VGT vane system gives the 6.7L its characteristic strong low-end torque and responsive throttle, but those moving parts also wear. When vanes stick, shaft play develops, or seals fail, boost drops, EGTs climb, and the engine loses the responsive power delivery it was designed for. This remanufactured HE351VE is disassembled, cleaned, inspected, and rebuilt to factory specification at PT Turbo in San Bernardino, California — a facility that has been rebuilding turbochargers since 1978. All wear components are replaced: journal bearings, thrust bearings, piston ring seals, and O-rings. The CHRA is balanced on a high-speed balancing machine before final assembly. What Remanufactured Means at PT Turbo Full disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning Dimensional inspection of housings and wheel All bearings, seals, and wear parts replaced — not reused High-speed CHRA balancing Reassembly and leak-down testing before shipment Core Exchange This unit ships on a core exchange basis. A rebuildable core is required — your original turbocharger must be returned within the core return window. Cores with damaged turbine housings, cracked compressor wheels, or destroyed CHRA cartridges may be subject to a core charge. Contact us before purchasing if you are unsure whether your core qualifies. Fitment Note Part number 5325950 fits specific Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 applications with the Cummins ISB 6.7L.
